Is directly responsible for inpatient, outpatient, surgery, women’s, perinatal service, program development and evaluation, Physician relations, Cost management/patient (revenue) generation, Quality of nursing care delivered. Assures that nursing care is being provided within the scope of established laws, policies and standards and is congruent with the goals and objectives for both the Department and St. Vincent Medical Center Researches, plans, implements and evaluates nursing practice innovations for the purpose of enhancing care delivery effectiveness and or efficiency.
