Under general supervision and medical direction, the EEG/EP Technologist utilizes standard Neurodiagnostic practices to perform neurodiagnostic testing procedures including, but not limited to, electroencephalograms (EEG), Evoked Potentials (BSAER, VER, SSER), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electronystagmograms (ENG) and Video Telemetry Seizure Monitoring The technologist is responsible for completion of daily work assignments, notifying management of supply and equipment needs, student and new employee training, and proper maintenance and cleaning of the lab area and equipment Must have c ertification for Basic Life Support (BLS) within one month of hire Attains 4 hours per year in continuing education related to Neurodiagnostic testing Demonstrates the ability to coordinate department activities Must be a g raduate of an accredited program in Neurodiagnostic Technology (or equivalent medical experience).
