Compliance Coding Auditor DH Compliance and Audit Job

8am - 5pm Day TEMPORARY POSITION The successful candidate will concentrate in the area of Clinical Trial Billing and Medicare Coverage analysis support. Knowledge of clinical trial billing requirements and experience with professional coding are preferred. Reporting to the Director of Compliance Services, perform complex professional and facility (DRG or APC) coding and billing compliance reviews across all specialties. Coordinate, schedule and perform coding and documentation reviews of medical/patient records to ensure provider billing practices are compliant with applicable rules and regulations. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, health information management or relevant work experience in lieu of education with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience or comparable competency in professional or facility chart abstraction, CPT and ICD-9 coding, charge documentation and charge capture resolution. Knowledge of government documentation, coding and reimbursement guidelines, PATH issues and third-party payer reimbursement practices. Experience in academic health care auditing preferred. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) with all levels of staff. Attention to detail essential. CPC, CCS or CCS-P certification required
